The June 3 meeting
of the Beth El Ner Tamid Board of Trustees was called to order at
7:30 p.m. by President Al Simon. Barbara Abrams, Jane Chester,
Harvey Kaufman, David Kazilsky, Nancy Kellman, Alan Marcuvitz, Fred
Meyer, Robert Peterman, Al Simon, Rodney Ugent, and Ilene Wasserman
were present. Melanie Bandos, Ava Bortin, Patricia Chamoy, Neal
Plotkin, and Robert Rudman were excused.
TREASURER:
Jane Chester presented the annual financial statement and budget for
next year.
MEN’S CLUB: Rodney Ugent reported
that Neal Plotkin was selected Man of the Year and Hannah Fox and
Jeremy Zelman were given scholarships. Jeremy was also selected for
the Mark Treager Scholarship.
SISTERHOOD:
Deanna Spanjar reported that Phyllis Wiggins will be the new
Sisterhood President.
JEWISH MUSEUM:
Deanna Spanjar reported that the Jewish Museum has formed a
liaison committee with representatives from various synagogues to
give input into educational programs with the museum. Beth El has a
lot of material archived there and we will have a Beth El Night with
food and a tour.
ANNUAL MEETING:
The office is readying the information packets for the annual
meeting scheduled for June 13.
