OLD Business

At the annual membership meeting of the congregation, the membership voted to pledge the congregation’s assets for a prospective three year loan of funds deemed sufficient to provide adequate supplemental financial support for the three year period of the loan.

Alan Marcuvitz reported that he and Bob Rudman had successful negotiations with M & I Bank. The terms of which were discussed with the board.

NEW BUSINESS

Rabbi Tamar Crystal will be retained as a guest Rabbi for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur

Bob Peterman and David Kazilsky reported on the results of the survey conducted by the Visionary Committee.

A Town Hall meeting will be scheduled for October 18 to present these findings to the congregation.

David Kazilsky spoke of an email service called Constant Contact that will be implemented as a weekly newsletter instead of daily emails to our congregation.

David has set up a board of trustees email address where congregants can write in with questions and comments and these will be forwarded to the board.

A synopsis of the minutes from the board meetings will be published on the website.

The results of the survey will be published but will be password protected so they can be viewed only by our members.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Mens Club: Neal Plotkin reported that the installation and Man of the Year award dinner will be held on September 10th.  This was postponed from an earlier time due to illness.  The cost of the dinner is $20 and is open to men and women.

Sisterhood: Deanna Spanjar reported on the Appraisal Day held yesterday.  There were not a lot of people there but those that came did enjoy it.  There were lots of volunteers.

Rummage Sale: Al Simon reported that the rummage sale grossed almost $11,000.  Some items have been put on Craigslist and eBay and these proceeds have not been realized yet.

There being no further business to come before this Board of Trustees, the meeting was adjourned at 9:40 p.m.
