Social Action Committee
is looking
for
knitters and wannabee knitters
to knit scarves, mittens, and hats for individuals connected with
the Jewish Family Service and the Penfield Children’s Center, and
lap blankets for the residents at the Milwaukee Jewish Home and Care
Center. Yarn, needles and instructors are supplied. For

– The Kids In Shabbat Service
will be held at 7:30 pm. KISS is a family friendly
participatory service. Please support our Religious School
Students.

– The 2nd
Annual Mother’s Day Champagne Brunch will be from 10:30 am till
12:00 pm. Moms eat free! The cost for adults (12 years and older)
are $5.00, children (5 through 11 years) are $3.00 and children

– The Sisterhood Book Club will meet in the library to watch the
movie “Trembling Before G-d”. This movie was the inspiration for
Naomi Alderman’s book “Disobedience” which was discussed at the last
book club gathering.

– BENT will host the KOACH Luncheon. For reservations or

– The Men’s Club invites you to their
Annual Installation Dinner to award the Beth El Ner Tamid
Men’s Club Scholarship Awards.
Marty Freeman will cater the dinner. Dinner is $18.00 per person.

– The TOT Shabbat Service will be at 6:30 pm with a tot style dinner
for kids six years and under.

– Beth El Ner Tamid Sisterhood will host the Torah Luncheon for
their joint event with Beth Israel Sisterhood.

May 25th at 7:00 pm
– The Sunday Night Discussion Group with Rabbi Berman will meet at
Jack and Shirley Langer’s home. The topic is “Presidential
Politics: Energy Crisis.” A map will be in the BENT office or they

– There will be weekly Hebrew classes with Rabbi Berman.
Wednesdays,
from 10:00 am to 11:30 am

Yiddish classes will be lead by Ruth Rosen. The cost
is $25.00 for members and $35.00 for non-members per semester.
Thursdays,
at 11:00 am
– There will be weekly Parsha classes with Rabbi Berman on ‘Prophets
and Current Events’.
Yoga Classes
are now at Beth El Ner Tamid with instructor Jan Halonen. Yoga will
help you reduce stress, increase flexibility, build internal body
strength and enhance the immune system. The cost is $11.00 per
class. The times are Monday at 9:30 am and Wednesday at 6:30 pm.

We have committed to operate a concession stand for
10 different dates during Brewers Games. Volunteers
are needed for one or more dates. All volunteers must attend a one
night training session at Miller Park. If interested please contact

The Social Action
Committee needs volunteers to help
prepare and deliver meals with the St. Vincent de Paul Center for
people in need. This is a wonderful opportunity for all of us to
participate in a “Social Action” program. Those of you, who are
willing to cook and/or serve, please contact Nancy Kellman at (262)

Sweeten Your Loved One’s Rosh Hashana
– This Sisterhood fundraiser is a sweet deal. Katelyn’s Honey of
Burlington, KY will mail 8-ounce jars of natural honey to your
relatives and friends for $10.00 per jar. All the honey is
harvested fresh; FDA inspected and certified Kosher by Rabbi
Kalmanson from the Chabad Temple in Cincinnati, OH. For more
